The hall tree of impressive and significantly carved, to the top is a stepped crown supported by a pair of female figures with their arms holding the crown, they are flanked by a pair of beautifully carved winged angel heads. To the center is a rectangular mirror, either side are a pair of carved arches and the frame of the hall stand is profusely carved with foliate & geometric devices. Below are three carved masks and a pair of corbel brackets above a single drawer carved with a handle in the form of a 'Green Man' mask. To each side are two large carved lion's head finials with bronze rings in their mouths, and twin storage areas for canes & umbrellas with iron drip pans below, flanked with a pair of turned & carved columns. To the center is a locking cupboard door with corresponding carved masks, to each side is a robed female caryatid support, each surmounted by a carved corbel bracket, the hall tree is raised on a plinth base. Condition is excellent, this amazing hall tree is ready to grace your home, office, restaurant, the hall tree has a celuloid tag from "Charles Jenner & Co Edinburgh". This was a legendry department store founded in 1838 and located on Princess Street Edinburgh.
