This unique storage piece is solidly constructed and features a solid quarter-sawn oak case and drawer fronts with a maple interior.

The cabinet was fitted for the vertical filing of documents with the bottom eight drawers accommodating letters-size while the top four drawers were originally divided in two columns for receipts. The tabs would have been threaded onto the metal rods that run the length of the drawers and were held in place by the sliding tension panels.

The piece exhibits a lovely mellow patina that is beautifully set off by original brass hardware.
