This Really is a Great Looking - Quite Rare & Unusual Antique American Cast Iron Doorstop. Circa Approx 1920s. It … more This Really is a Great Looking - Quite Rare & Unusual Antique American Cast Iron Doorstop. Circa Approx 1920s. It is Rendered in a Standing & Grazing Horse wearing a Western Saddle. NOTE - That it Cast in the "Wedge" Style - Has 2 Tongues at the Lower Back - Base Area that are Designed to Go Under the Baseboard Gap at The Bottom of The Door as Used - Displayed. It is HEAVY - SOLID CAST Weighing Slightly Under 6 Pounds. It has No Maker or Other Marks that I Can Find - Most Likely Would have Been Cast at one of the Smaller - Lesser Known Foundries. It Still Retains its All Original Paint Brush Hand Oil Painted Features that are in Excellent Condition. It has No Damage or Repairs to the Casting and Displays Very Nicely.
It Measures Overall 8 inches Tall x 9 3/4 inches Long x 2 3/4 inches Wide - Deep at Base.
