A perfectly restored pair of Model 137 "Japan" chairs, designed by Finn Juhl in 1957, produced in Denmark by France & Son, and imported to the US by John Stuart, with all placards and markings still in place. The Model 137 is a perfect lounge, reading, or accent chair.
The Japan chair's defining feature is its back, reminiscent of a torii gate and visible from all angles. The seat floats ethereally atop the minimalist frame, and the seat back elegantly separated from the top rail with original brass hardware. The frames are built from solid teak – deep, earthy red in tone with veins of black throughout. less
