Vintage signed original landscape oil on canvas painting, by Artist Catherine Parker Melton. This landscape painting depicts a lovely scene of a small cottage set back beside a pond, a big tree is featured in the middle. Original artwork signed in the lower left hand side, MELTON.
Catherine Parker Melton, a 20th-century contemporary Tennessee painter and sculptor studied at Peabody College and Corcoran School of Art. Her exhibitions include the Maryland Institute in 1930, the League of American Pen Women 1940-1941, 1943-1944 (prizes). Melton was a member of the Washington Art Club and the Society of Washington Artists Nashville, and the Sarasota Art Association. less
