A pair of fine antique Old Sheffield Plate wine or champagne coolers with engraved Coat of Arms.
The urn shaped … more A pair of fine antique Old Sheffield Plate wine or champagne coolers with engraved Coat of Arms.
The urn shaped coolers have a stepped circular base, gadrooned top edges, decorative handles along with two bands of applied floral and vine details. The coolers are in very good condition with normal wear to the copper mainly on the base. The silver is bright.
If you look closely at the pictures of the crest you will see a faint rectangular outline. This is where a sterling silver ingot has been placed to prevent the engraved coat of arms or initials from going thru into the copper core.
Excellent pair for the Old Sheffield Plate collector.
