Beautiful art pottery compote with pale yellow glaze with a top surface decorated with tube lined blue & yellow pansies.
7 1/8" Top Diameter
3 1/4" Base Diameter
3 1/2" High
Bottom of base is signed with a painted green "WM" and a faint incised "Moorcroft England" incision. There appears to also be glue residue from a paper royal warrant sticker which would be helpful in pinpointing a date if it were present. As it stands, the incised mark and painted initials date the compote to between 1949 and 1986.
