This rare, tall mid-century Hill Rom Co. industrial style cabinet is both beautiful and widely functional, perfect storage for any room in your home with 4 middle drawers and 2 side cabinets.
The Hill Rom Company from Batesville, IN is known for their hospital/medical furniture and equipment since 1915 but also collaborated with Raymond Loewy to produce high quality industrial furniture, starting in the 1950s. Raymond Loewy was a French born industrial designer who achieved fame designing for various industry leaders including Exxon, Coca Cola, Studebaker, Pennsylvanian Railroad, Air France and NASA among many others. He was recognized for these achievements by Time magazine and featured on the cover on October 31, 1949.
With a stunning original blond wood finish, typical for the 1950’s, this piece is in excellent, sturdy condition and easy to move on the original casters. Some wear commensurate of age and use. Interior drawers are in excellent condition. Makers mark was covered by contact paper, a portion remains in top drawer, the rest was saved to show authenticity.
