This is a beautiful original English oil painting signed by the artist Stella Lane (1915-2002). Stella Lane was born in Camberwell, London during the time of the First World War, she spend a good deal of her life in the seaside town of Scarborough and was well known for her delightful still life portraits. She also painted a portrait for that famous playwright Tom Stoppard impressed by her artistic skills.
Signed in the bottom left and featuring pink and white roses in a glass vase.
