Narrow two-body cabinet in solid walnut richly carved with hunting scenes, opening with a very molded drawer and equipped with … more Narrow two-body cabinet in solid walnut richly carved with hunting scenes, opening with a very molded drawer and equipped with a falling bronze handle depicting a smiling grotesque mask. The upper part of this piece of furniture has a framed door opening with a chiseled key with carved openwork entrance and working lock. In the center of the door, a sculpted panel depicts a man galloping on his horse surrounded by a wild boar chased by dogs. In the background, we observe a castle located on a hill. The reliefs are important and bring the scene to life. On either side of the door, fine detached fluted columns are accompanied by sculpted supports. The lower part of the cabinet is similarly equipped with a dark framed door with a carved relief panel. It is surrounded by a fluted column on each side. Significant moldings are supported by flat feet at the front. Inside each element, this piece of furniture has an adjustable shelf on racks.
This piece of furniture can be dismantled into two parts.
