White lacquer ten-drawer dresser by Kling Furniture of Mayville, NY. Centre four drawers are recessed, adding emphasis to the six fluted front drawers to either side. Lightly toned brass over zinc drop U and scalloped flat bar pulls. Restored with white gloss lacquer over cherrywood. Evocative of the designs of Tommi Parzinger.
The Kling Furniture company of Mayville, NY was a founded by John Kling in 1911 and Arvid Kling was President between 1934 and 1955. The factories were purchased by Baumritter/Ethan Allen in 1962 and was folded into the larger Ethan Allen name in the 1990s. less
