The extremely ornate handle with blue and black enameling, the reverse reads "Presented to Sir E Ashmead Bartlett on the occasion of the opening..." and dated November 1894.

Condition: Good condition for such an early item with no imperfections, the gilding is quite worn, no hallmarks but tested as sterling silver. Box is of used appearance.

Height: (entire as shown of key only) 6” (15.25cm). 6.5” (9cm).
