They were … Read more This is a great deal for anyone who understands the quality of these pieces and appreciates the brand. They were given to me as a gift. I never used them. I moved out of the country. They have been in storage, safe in their boxes and coverings.

This candlestick is a good example of how Koppel’s later designs adopt a tauter idiom compared with the early very organic works like his pitchers. The design is still very strong and superior but more simple, symmetric and less curvy.

In all its simplicity this candlestick requires great accuracy of the craftsmen. The metal spinner will make the body and the actual candle holder on his spinning machine and after a first grinding the silversmith will then solder on the bottom and the candle holder. See less
