Very Rare Original Ernst Lithograph on woven Velin d'arches paper with deckled edges. 1972. All quiet on the line... Plate Size : 19x28cm Frame Size: 17 x 21 in. It is a numbered Limited Edition and has exempliare Authentication which is hand signed by Ernst and is numbered out of a total of 199, this one being no. 42/199. Sur les presses d'Atelier Chave à France. Artwork comes with Gallery Prepared Documentation, which includes Authentication Certificate + Provenance Plus a Max Ernst Signed and Numbered justification copy included with artwork.
"As a soldier in World War I, Ernst emerged deeply traumatized and highly critical of western culture.
