This Andy Warhol Foundation very rare vintage 1998 collector's lithograph print custom framed Pop Art poster " Portrait of Maurice " 1976, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Pop Art poster print is published by OVH Design London, under sublicense from Te Neues Publishing Company New York. printed in The United Kingdom in 1998 in an unnumbered limited edition with the licensed authorized rights of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc. It features an artwork image originally created by Warhol in 1976 titled " Portrait of Maurice ", courtesy of The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, copyright 1998 The Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts, Inc.
This is a rare opportunity for true Warhol fans and collectors as this coveted image lithograph print Pop Art poster is long out of print and very scarce to find. The official " AW " Foundation seal of authenticity is printed on the poster in the lower right corner front image area.
Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the singularly most well known Contemporary artists of all time. His imagery is recognized worldwide. His infamous life, art works, and creative endeavors are like no other artist. he is credited as the very first artist to use common everyday objects and view them in a completely different way while paying homage to their role in our society. Glorifying the common as the beautiful. His technique utilizing a silkscreen method combined with hand finishing in a signature palette of vibrant color hues make the work stand on its own and loved by millions.
The rare out of print collector's framed Pop Art poster print measures 32 1/2" W X 24 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern recessed beveled detailed navy blue matte eggshell finish wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
