This large platter is covered in an off-white glaze then around the rim of the platter is a band of … Read more This large platter is covered in an off-white glaze then around the rim of the platter is a band of dark olive/brown glaze. Pressed into that band are lines of I, II, III like Roman numerals. Holding the platter is a circular wire frame with two handles. Both handles are wrapped with a brown leather strap. Platter measures 12.5" across and is in excellent condition. Signed on the bottom by G. Martz. This very unusual piece was owned by my grandparents and during my lifetime I have never seen it used nor have I seen another anywhere. See less
