This is a very rare and robust kitchen essential of its era which speaks to a period when functionality and durability were paramount. The strong, heavy oak is 1" thick and the board sits level at 2" high with the elevating supports. Hand-carved drain channels are graduated in depth to efficiently guide water towards the sink while a curved concave grip underneath extends over the sink's edge. One side has a rounded edge while the other is a beveled slant.

A charming and sturdy artifact from a bygone era of meticulous craftsmanship and practical design. It is in sound and solid condition with a warm, beautifully aged patina achieved only over time.
