C.1940's; High Gloss lacquered, French Art Deco Burl, grand buffet server, and/or credenza. There are defined, gorgeous, tapered legs with brass capped feet with raised Details, and upper, brass collars to each leg, which enhances the details to each leg, as an overall design detail. To the left side of this buffet, as door is opened, one can see a row of drawers with brass handles, 6 drawers in all, while the other half of the space has a shelf, which is adjustable, based on each owns, desired level or preference. One would assume the drawers, were at once used for a myriad of server ware within a dining room. On the right side of this buffet are 2 shells, also adjustable, and by the assumption, to house serving plates, platters, etc. the like for special occasions, dinners, soirees and what not. The top of he buffet has radius round edge corners to the front apposing ends, with a linear pencil trim, that offsets the striation design to the edge design, from the true burl wood finish, we are accustomed to seeing in it's natural state and grandeur. While the exterior has a natural finish, the interior is offset with a water wood tone finish, as if secularizing and distinguishing it, but a welcome incisive surprise and design element nonetheless. The center front has fluted, carved details much like one would have seen on grills of Period cars, but associated to furniture period design, and a pivot, or definition of style on display. Right below this the apron base surround to front dips into and meets at the center and below that center vertical, fluted detail in a pediment point, as if also to offset the overall look. While also the corner braces to front apposing ends are rounded and recessed within a platform forum. All minute, though out furniture design details, a nod to the craftsmanship, and danced interpretations, independent of other Art Deco Designs, and what defined a wonderful era, beyond the hardware, also part and partial to the overall piece. (WE MUST state, the original hardware was not with this piece when the owners purchased it. IT IS AS IS FOUND, and RELAYED within that PORTAL they acquired this piece), as last image indicates the hardware gone, BUT not covered, up should one would like to restore that to it's original form, as is the outer handle and the Handpainted round medallion front details surrounding the outer handles.
A sophisticated time capsule piece, which the owners, acquired as you see in the images depicted, from a well-known, world-wide gig/internet buying/dealer web portal, with distinguished following throughout the world. That said, we tried to showcase the most significant sections of this piece. Notwithstanding, should a potential buyer, with additional questions and images asked for, may inquire within, so we may add or send to support to relay any other additional asks, to suffice and be as transparent as we can be, given the nature of this piece, and the many pieces which have been consigned by the owners. This piece as many of the pieces, from every design era, sat idle as show pieces within large, contemporary, industrial, quasi, multi-boardroom, work, innovative tech guru's building. We refer to the owners for the duration of their consigned pieces, and as such it also applies to offers.proffers coming in, and conveying those to them, and as such might be a slight time delay, but be sure to know, we will reply in accordance to this, and keep open flow of communication and follow-up with this and that in mind, and thank you for respecting these parameters.
