The depiction of the Nativity is seen here as a contemplative moment of the Holy Child, by Mary and Joseph, accompanied by little angels. The composition of the scene is occupied by various characters representing dark colours, colors that belong to the pictorial current that played on the strong contrasts of dark and light, light and dark. Also in this work the light radiated by the Child Jesus illuminates the figures around Him and makes them emerge from the surrounding darkness. A host of angels holds a festoon with the inscription "Gloria in excelsis deo". Conditions: Good condition. Provenance: Naples 18th century. Measurements: 110x95cm.
