19th century (possibly late 18th century) Swedish pine box. Iron hinges at top opening, round iron handles at sides. Lovely curved shape, professionally repaired at the corner. The hand carved top features a painted monogram, traditional of the time period and region.
The striking green color is accented by the yellow & red hand painted monogram at the top of the box. The carving has lovely shades of soft yellow & blue. Patina throughout due to age and use.
