Two antique bentwood stools, or chairs, attributed to Thonet, or possibly Fishel JJ Kohn etc. The stools feature a q … more Two antique bentwood stools, or chairs, attributed to Thonet, or possibly Fishel JJ Kohn etc. The stools feature a q bent wood back support, and dramatic steam bent stretchers. One stool is a bit taller than the other, I believe they both have been cut down from their original height. Both are structurally sound and sturdy, both have been reupholstered, and both show minor cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age. The stools are dates in stenciled paint - one reads 1918, one is hard to read conclusively ( probably 1918 as well ). As these are different in height, we are offering them and have priced them individually, however we would love to see them stay together.
