Antique Wave Crest Opal Glass Cigar Humidor made by C. F. Monroe Company with hinged lid (1886-1916)
The jar has high relief flowers, leaves and scrolls and a hand-painted floral design in pink and browns on the lid and around the Humidor.
The front has the word "TOBACCO" in raised Gold Lavender glitter lettering.
The Brass collar/band has a Brass tab for opening the lid and on the inside of the lid is a Brass cover for holding a moisture sponge.
Measures - 5 7/8" Tall - 5" lid diameter x 4 1/2" across the base.
The Brass collar and tab is bright no patina.
The Jar is hallmarked with one of their earlier style Trademarks in Red and the Hallmark is faded.
In Great pre-loved and used condition with no chips or cracks.
The hand-painted flower designs on the body and lid of the Humidor are in very good condition with little, if any, color loss or definition.
A classic piece that can stand on its own or you could use the Humidor as a table center piece with fresh or silk flowers.
