Exceptional detail is seen in the floral side panels, central panel with figure of man serenading reclining woman, vibrant borders and more.
This trunk has original wrought iron side handles and rests on large bun feet. Note photo of interior that reveals additional hand painted details as well.
A painted lattice pattern is still well seen on the sides and was originally repeated on the top as well, but is now faded/distressed over many generations of use.
Restored, strong and stable, this large pine trunk is ready to be used and enjoyed. Wax finish. No lock nor key.
All scratches, cracks (see top), nicks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely blanket chest. More wear/paint loss/distress is seen along the top and feet due to use.
