A wonderful 19th century elephant ladder, in walnut and wrapped with a beautiful light brown leather which is accented by nailhead trim. The ladder folds into a pole with an ingenious mechanism and has a brass cap on both ends. A quality hook latch is affixed to the ladder for folding and storage. Unmarked.
