The vessels are fired earthenware with highly stylized geometric designs in stark black and white. Acoma and Jemez pottery has been sought after by collectors for decades. The Native American people of this region are known for a wealth of culture and art. Recognized for the intricate line designs which the artists completed freehand. Although decorative, the objects were made with functionality in mind and could also be used for drinking, storage, or ceremonial purposes. From a private collection.
