A classic modern design – the “7770 Night Table” designed by Paul McCobb for Calvin Furniture Co. Retains the original … more A classic modern design – the “7770 Night Table” designed by Paul McCobb for Calvin Furniture Co. Retains the original “Calvin Grand Rapids / Furniture Designs by Paul McCobb” label in drawer. An early design, possibly a prototype for the Irwin Group. Circa 1954. Mahogony wood veneer with saffron stain. Single drawer and storage compartment, wood top, inlaid brass edge and stylized brushed chrome pulls. This design was only in production for a brief period which makes this night table a unique item for modern furniture collectors. McCobb's work can be found in public museum collections, including at Brooklyn Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, Cleveland Museum of Art, and Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Dimensions: 24.25”h x 22”w x 20”d. In very good vintage condition. Provenance: This chair is from the personal collection of designer Ralph Rye who acquired it directly from the Calvin Furniture Co. in Grand Rapids when the Imperial Factory building factory closed. Ralph Rye is a multi-talented visionary with a career in city planning, architecture, interior design, lighting, and furniture design. Rye has collaborated with some of the finest furniture companies in America including Dunbar, Nessen, Thonet, Jens Risom, and Baker. less

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
