Modernist desk designed by Bas van Pelt (attrib.) in the 1940s/50s for My Home (attrib.).
The desk is acquired from a collector, who was sure it was designed by Bas van Pelt. We say attributed as we don't have a proof for this.
The desk is kind of unusual with an oak wood drawer unit on one side and two chrome plated metal tubular legs on the other side. As you wish you can put the drawer unit on one side or the other.
The drawer unit has four drawers of which three have a chrome plated metal handle and the upper one is to lock them. Unfortunately the key is not with it.
The top is made of ocher yellow aluminum and it has aluminum sides.
The desk is in good original condition. Some normal traces of use on the linoleum top, as visible in the pictures.
