This is a wonderful black and white abstract expressionist monotype titled “Rear-View Mirror” by artist Joan W. Caefer. The white feather image is skillfully embossed in the paper, capturing and celebrating its delicacy. This is an original, one of a kind artist signed and numbered (1/1) piece, presented on watercolor paper and dated on the back 3/6/92.
Overall matted dimensions are 11” wide X 14” tall (artwork image on paper is 5” X 6-3/4”, not including signature and title at bottom)
This artwork is in excellent vintage condition. Some original faint red and purple color spots to lower left corner. The loosely attached matting shows some wear with a few dent marks (please see photos) – wear consistent with age and use.
