These are substantial chairs with a beautiful silhouette that features a center carving to the upper rail and beveled serpentine vertical slat backs.
The elegant carvings continue on the shaped apron front as well as the knees of the cabriole legs.

The original rush seats are present on both chairs, and are easily removable. These are heavy chairs, solid oak, sturdy and suitable for daily use; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa 1940.
