From the early 1900s, this Middle Eastern, Syrian or Moroccan, pearl-inlay box is covered with fine, Moorish micro-mosaic marquetry. A museum-quality piece, it exhibits gorgeous craftsmanship and is a genuine work of art. Rumor has it a similar box is on Rick's (Humphrey Bogart) desk in Casablanca! And… it comes with a matching table lighter! I've not see another.

Both wooden pieces are beautiful, highly-detailed, hand-crafted with Moorish motif designs which have been intricately inlaid with bone, mother of pearl and exotic hardwoods. This fabulous box and lighter are so unique, and will be wonderful conversation starters that stand out in any setting.

This table lighter is an amazing find for collectors! It measures aproximently 2" x 2" x 4". The possible jewelry—or precious storage—box has two inner compartments: the top tray is lined with original silky, black fabric with red and white detail. Under it lie four compartments similarly lined with original rick-rack. less
