- This is pair of large porcelain blue and white Balaster Temple Jar Lamp decorated with a botanical and aviary pattern. … more This is pair of large porcelain blue and white Balaster Temple Jar Lamp decorated with a botanical and aviary pattern. The making of this jar is considered a "foot stomp process" (which has to do with the hands-on approach to developing the porcelain). The porcelain is hand painted in fantastic indigo / ink blue against a bone off white ground, which all contributes to the jar's "Rough Hewen" look! Additionally, it has some foo dog face handles around the top upper edge. This makes it possible to string a tassel through to tie in the front. These would looks amazing with your other blue and white pottery /ceramics providing light on your subject! The jars are contemporary, made to look antique. less
