This fabulously stylish rattan and bamboo bench offers both visual and textural interest in addition to bountiful storage capabilities. The frame is crafted from bamboo wood which offers incredible structural integrity. The lift-top’s underside is also bamboo wood which provides structural strength to the top. On the interior, the lift top has a center catch hinge which allows the top to conveniently remain open when adding items for storage. Thick strong recessed butt hinges on the backside are sturdy and provide strength to the lift top. The storage compartment is quite roomy, so you should have no problem storing linens or anything else that needs to be tucked away. The exquisite handwoven rattan exterior is an over and under basket weave pattern with a marquis diamond motif accenting the center of the bench (all around) in addition to the lift top’s bench seat. Strong curvaceous rolled arms, on each side, adds a bit of cottage chic elegance to the overall look-and-feel of the bench, can you say “oh là là, c’est trop beau”! Color is naturally aged rattan which trends toward a tan hue with interspersed flecks of chocolate throughout. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. Maker is unknown. We believe this beauty was handcrafted in Indonesia sometime in the late 1980s. It measures as follows:
