This splendid highly decorative, colorful double sided fan is beautifully hand-painted and on the front side features stunning figures dressed in French Court attire. The background is a charming classical outdoor scene with a pavilion and cherub statue. Equally stunning, the second side portrays a gentleman entertaining three titled ladies. The detail is incredible and intricate gold leaf decorates the mother-of-pearl guards and the seventeen sticks as well as the paper leaves of the fan. The rivet pin is brass.
