- A superb pair of large Sterling silver tablespoons made in London by the famous English silversmith Hester Bateman in 1781. … more A superb pair of large Sterling silver tablespoons made in London by the famous English silversmith Hester Bateman in 1781. She lived from 1709 to 1794. Many books have been written about this most noteworthy artist. These large tablespoons are in excellent condition with only minor age appropriate surface wear. There is no damage and there has been no repair. The spoons are embellished with very impressive bright cut engraving with a monogram inside a diamond shape. The hallmarks are complete and legible. The are 8.75"long. less
