Beautiful handwoven jacquard coverlet from the late 1800s, with an eye dazzling pattern of alternating diagonal stripes. This hand-loomed antique throw comes from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, made of lamb's wool dyed a deep shade of crimson on a natural ecru background (cotton I believe). This early American folk art coverlet was essential for keeping warm in the winter. It's made of two pieces, sewn together in the middle.
The coverlet is in good condition overall, with some light yellowing in places and a few darker spots. The fabric is mostly in very good condition, except for some fraying in one corner, and some unraveling and fraying on the seam at one end (please see photos).

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
