It has some areas that are more lax from hanging (could be tightened or stretched) and there are some white marks on the black canvas. The piece itself is in good condition. The colors remain vibrant. It is lovely and unique. less

more
A large and colorful mid-century tapestry or kilim that has been mounted on (or rather tacked unto) a black canvas that serves as a frame. The work is very colorful with bold shades of red, orange, pink, black and yellow. It looks very much like a mid-century kilim that was designed by the Polish artist E. Keszycka in the 1960's (and is reminiscent of that artist's work).
It is impressive in size. Overall it is 69" H x 43.25" W x 1" D. The tapestry (or kilim) itself is 65" x 39.5".
The piece doesn't appear to be stretched tightly over the canvas. In person, the colors seem slightly more muted than the close-up images would suggest. less
