A beautiful pair of hand-carved African ebony elephant bookends, dating from the Late Art Deco Period ca 1940.
Beautiful decorative bookends with a charming look.
Very characterful with an attractive old patina, a real asset to the bookcase.
The heavy ebony has deep tones black-dark brown and a beautiful grain, the elephants weigh 1.5 and 1.6 kg each.
The sizes are of the largest (right in the picture) elephant, the other is slightly smaller.
