Featuring a … more An absolutely one of a kind find, this antique late 1920s woven parasol is a beauty to behold! Featuring a stunning crochet-woven raffia shade with colorful pastel colors and a lovely wooden handle. Similar to pieces crafted in Asia and the Pacific Islands for weddings, this piece was likely for more everyday sun shade use.

This umbrella is almost doubtlessly nearly a hundred years old, likely from the late 1920s, and is in surprisingly sturdy condition. It is in perfect working condition, and opens and closes easily (operate with care!). It is, however, fairly stained - I believe these stained could easily be painted or dyed over if you wished to tackle this as a restoration project. However, it is beautiful even with the tea stain-like coloring! Beautiful lines, an elegant and long handle with unique carving patterns. There is one portion of the canopy which is reduced to being secure by a single raffia loop (as shown in images) but again, this is surprisingly secure and the piece can be open and closed with care.

A gorgeous and useful gem, perfect for weddings, costumes, cosplay, steampunk or goth festivals, or just having the most amazing umbrella on a sunny day!
