Description: Large Antique Chinese Hand Engraved Brass Tray...17 1/2"w x 17 1/2"h. x 3/4"d. Weight: 9 Lbs.

Elaborately decorated with the Dragon & Phoenix among Clouds and above Water as the central design. The outer design is composed of 4 diapers each with a different type of floral group. Separating these are 4 Chinese "chops" enclosed in circles. The outermost areas of this tray are decorated with a continuous floral motif.
The back of the tray is unsigned and shows age and hand made technique.

The photos. will show traces of old brass polish "build up" where the tray surface meets the rim.
Also noted and seen in photo. #1 is a round "ghost" mark at the upper right area of the tray. Likely from a bottle left out over time. As mentioned this is a large tray that dates from some time in the 19th.c. and that has seen some use.. less
