This design, depicting a variety of herbs, was discontinued in 2009. That puts it well past the point where they stopped using lead in the binding agents between the layers of glass. Which, if interested in items made prior to that, would only be accessible if you actually broke the plate and then ate off the broken glass. However, you could not get lead in this even if you did eat off broken glass. I *highly* recommend never eating off broken glass by the way. Enough of that particular rabbit hole. I have eight of each dinner plate, 10.25 ", luncheon plate 8.5" and cereal bow, 6.75" x 2". Each on is in excellent condition. Some scuffs and minor picture blurring on some possible. less
