The thicker tube as a base in the middle suggests that it is probably a later design. The relatively thin armrests are more reminiscent of the 1930s. The crossbars that give the chair its stability are interesting. These could have been installed later. However, in terms of aging, they seem to have been there from the start. Maybe the cantilever chair was in a tram, mounted directly on the ground. Whoever has tinkered with this chair - it is unique in this form and this makes it a popular collector's item. A professional restorer repaired the worst veneer damage. The seat shell is slightly warped and tubular steel parts show clear signs of wear. All in all, the chair is in good condition.
