The iconic DAX chair - Dining (D) Arm Chair (A) on X Base (X) - was designed by the Eameses for Herman Miller in the 1950s and launched as one of the original 5 base options for the new fiberglass chair model. This unique pair of chairs were produced in the mid-1960s and feature a stunning and vibrant shade of purple with a gray trimmed edge and a metal H base (a structural improvement on the original X base). The DAX fiberglass chair has remained a highly-sought after mid century modern design classic to this day. Original Herman Miller manufacturer’s label, patent label and milacron embossed logo on chair undersides.
