This assembled 19th c. dessert set from Copeland utilizes transferware, gilt, and hand-embellished polychrome floral swags - all set on a scalloped bone china plate. A very Baroque feel.

One plate is backstamped with the Copeland & Garrett stamp (c. 1846 - 1847) while the rest have the intertwined "C" backstamp (c. 1851 - 1895). All retain the pattern number 6916 handpainted in overglaze red.

These plates are pretty enough to display on the wall as a set, or to continue use as their original purpose as dessert plates. Either way, they'll certainly be noticed. less
