Hand-painted portrait on this Jadeite color vase is exceptional - the detail of her face, dress, hat and flowers is exquisite.
To add to the effect she is framed in a heraldic shape that is edged in white and gold Moriage style stippling.
The RED RUST flower and bud is "eye catching" and compliments the band of color around the base and the top.
The back of the vase is plain.
Measures 10" tall X 4 1/4" across the base
Signature on the bottom in script - AUSTRIA
In good pre-loved vintage condition
Some Red Rust paint missing on the base and the band around the top shows a lot of wear - a good bit of the Red Rust color has rubbed off (see photos)
Some small dark spots on the back of the base (see photos )
A small area of the lady's brown hair is missing over her left eye - (see photos)
No crazing or cracks. less
