Which means he did them himself early on before he had artists working for him. He was a very well known Mid Century artist that specialized in porcelain and glass enamel on metal, and was active from 1947-1973. His pieces are sought after by lovers of Mid Century design. These mugs are in good condition with no chips or cracks. They do have crazing but that's to be expected because of their age. Both mugs are different using the same colors and they measure 5"H x 5"W. less
