Vintage fine china creamer or pitcher made in Japan exclusively for Seymour Mann Inc. Fully marked. Traditional blue and burnt orange/red colors and designs with a textured handle.
The Seymour Mann company was an importer of fine china and porcelain products which were sold in major department stores. The company started out as Lipper & Mann at 225 Fifth Avenue, New York, N.Y. and they specialized in European imports of ceramics and fine glass. In the 1940s the company started importing porcelain and fine china products from Japan.
Mann sold his interest in the company to Hal Lipper in the 1960s who continued on as Lipper International Inc. less
