Minor losses to wooden frame, mainly along bottom edge. Most likely the original mirror plate with minor scattered dark age spots / silver loss throughout. Overall an outstanding example, sure to add sophisticated elegance, warmth, and rich historical interest to any space! less

Patina Perfection!! A simply stunning period Louis Philippe (1830-1848) silvered giltwood mirror (large size and proportions allow it to be used as a floor mirror, wall mirror, pier mirror or mantle piece)
Hand-crafted in France in the mid-19th century, featuring an incised molded solid pine wooden frame in the original burnished water gilded silver and gold gilt finish, with beaded trim around mirror plate, now with beautifully aged heavily worn distressed patina over the whole! circa 1830s

Very good original unrestored antique condition, especially considering its nearly 200 years old! Excellent presence, with beautifully aged warm rich heavily worn distressed chippy paint patina, with lustrous sheen, exposed gesso and red-dish burnt orange-ish burnished remnants.
