A tree-shaded shack in the west Texas hills by Arleen Alice Meister Huseby, signed lower right, 1950s. Painting: 16"L x 12"H [20 x 15" overall].
Arleen Huseby (1912 to 2009), was active with the Laguna Beach Art Association and in the San Gabriel Valley area as well. She taught art for decades, most recently at Saddleback Community College. Arleen lived 1945 to 1958 in Dallas, moving to southern California in 1958. She painted well into her 90s. She was a member of the Desert Art Center, the Quorum Gallery, San Gabriel Fine Arts Assoc., Laguna Beach AA. Listed: Askant, Davenport, Desert Art Center Artists, Who Was Who in American Art. less
