This bench expands … more An amazing mid-century modern wooden bench on black pencil legs with two shaped upholstered seats circa 1960. This bench expands creating a slatted center table area. Designer or maker unknown but often attributed to Arthur Umanoff and John Stuart. Unmarked except upholstery tag under one of the seats. The total length is roughly 41.75” long when retracted and 56.5” long fully extended. The wooden frame and legs are newly refinished to match the original color scheme. The upholstery is original with some wear as pictured. The upholstery can be easily replaced by unscrewing the seats and simply recovering with any fabric. less
