I let the paint guide me. The only criterion I have is that whatever I make should be beautiful. This painting started as I was exploring the way paint diffuses when the paint surface is wet or moist or dry .. I believe a painting communicates the artists state of mind. If so, then I was calm, clear and very focused on watching the way colors transform into thousands of shades upon the addition of water or other colors.
